[cleaned home] or [cleaned the house]?

High on grammar

Hello everyone:

Does "clean" as a verb collocate with "home":

As in [I cleaned home all day long.] or should I say [ I cleaned the house all day long.] ?

what if it's an apartment.

If you really want to use "home" (I wouldn't), you can say: "I cleaned my home all day yesterday". In that case "home" could refer to whatever you call home (palace, house, apartment, shack...).

I might talk about cleaning my home as opposed to cleaning my office. Otherwise I would use "house" or "flat/apartment".
