    SureFlex Accesories
    Tool Stripper
    Cleaving Tile

    I found the page below. It uses "cleaving tile" and "cleaving tool", which makes me wonder if "tile" is a typographical error.

    http://www.sureflexfibers.com/procedure/

    Cleave the Fiber

    • With a cleaving tile, gently score the exposed fiber with a straight line perpendicular to the fiber axis, ONE TIME, approximately 1 mm to 5 mm from the buffer (towards the distal end)
      • Do not attempt to saw through the fiber with the cleaving tool
      • Under aiming beam illumination, a proper score will barely cause a small light leak at the score line

    No, it calls it a tile (azulejo, tesela) there, as well as a tool. I don't think it's a mistake.

    Gracias por responder, pero CLEAVING TILE sería entonces AZULEJO? Sigo sin poder encotrar un equivalente en español para este término

    Great clip. Seeing the item explains why "tile" is used - it is shaped like a tile. The presenter uses "cleaving stone", which would refer to the hardness and rigidity of the material even if it not actually made of stone.

    Trabajado con fibras ópticas los términos que se usan son:

    stripper --> peladora
    cleaver --> cortadora

    Entiendo que "cleaving tile" es un tipo concreto de "cleaver", por lo que podrías dejar la misma traducción.

    It sounds like something you press down with to get the material to break cleanly.
