Closed at screening (child welfare)

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get the best translation for "closed at screening". For context, when someone makes a report of child abuse or neglect, it is either assigned to a worker for investigation or it is "closed at screening"--which means the report is simply documented in a database but not assigned at that time.

So for example, a social worker might tell the person who made a report: "This report (of child abuse) has been closed at screening".

My attempt: "esta denuncia de abuso infantil ha sido cerrada a su tramitación inicial"

I don't feel confident about this attempt at all, so any input would be greatly appreciated! :p

Thanks everyone!

I don't think "tramitación inicial" convey the concept or "screening". I don't know how to say it but I'd say "investigación" would be a better fit.
I'd say something like "cerrada antes de la investigación"
