coast flank (gears)

Hi! I'm translating this text on rolling (mechanics) and don't know what coast means here. It's related to gears. Thanks

"This causes a faiIure which starts near the tip of the coast flank of the die and ends at or below the pitch diameter on the drive flank."

Hi, Inaxio,
The second illustration here will show that the "coast flank" is the concave side of the gear tooth, while the "drive flank" is the convex side. The only terminology I suggest for these is "cóncavo" y "convexo / abombado". Perhaps someone else knows the official term.
