Palm Square Greeting the Rising Sun
Palm Plazza Meeting the Rising Sun

There is a small front court near the gate on our campus. Which of the above would be the best term for it? Any advice will be deeply appreciated.

Is it near the east gate? If not, I would choose something other than 'rising sun.'

If you want to refer to the court/plaza/square itself, don't use the first version; that one is a tree.

If it's near a gate, I would use 'square,' which to me has more of a connotation of a public area with paths leading to/through it. To me, 'plaza' has more of a connotation of a public area surrounded by buildings.

Look them up in a dictionary before you choose, though; I might have idiosyncratic ideas about their meanings.

Thanks, Prairiefire, for the clear explanation.
But I can't decide which of the following I should pick:

Palm Square Greeting the Rising Sun
Greeting the Rising Sun in Palm Square
Palm Square Greeting the Breaking Dawn
Greeting the Breaking Dawn in Palm Square
