    How would you translate the following into Italian?

    Si colgono ormaggi al cinema italiano.

    Tribute is paid to Italian cinema?

    Hi Kaydee!

    I think you're supposed to put the original sentence as a title, not your translation attempt ;)

    Anyway, as you can see we say rendere omaggio a (not 'cogliere'); most times it's used in the singular form (omaggio).
    So the translation for your sentence would be:

    Si rende omaggio al cinema italiano.
