coin laundry

What do you say to mean "a place where you can wash and dry your clothes in machines that you operate by putting in coins"? Do you call the place a "coin laundry"?

    Speaking for myself, I've never called them coin laundries, and in fact in some more modern ones you get an electronic card that you can charge with credit and then swipe to use the washers and driers -- no coins involved. I've always called them laundromats.
