Thank you so much for the translation. Like I mentioned before I work for a call center/collection agency. If you would please translate this:

"This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose"

This communication is from a debt collector.

Thank you again!

  • I'd translate it as: "Este es un intento de cobrar una deuda y cualquier información obtenida será usada con dicho fin"... but it sounds to me as a literal translation. Maybe someone who works on the business field can help us with a better phrase in Spanish.

    Good luck!

I agree with BourbonS. and I will translate it the same way.

I am only wondering why you need to translate such a phrase, it sounds like a message you will never hear from a recording machine. If I ever get it, it will definitely scare me and I will hang up.

You will hear such messages (at least, here in England) if, for example, you want a quote for car insurance over the telephone, whilst you are waiting in the queue for your call to be answered (I hate those queues  ).

Good to know, so I don't hang up as it sounds someone is going to get all my money... not that I have much :)
