    Hi,
    How would you translate this:

    "começa a ficar curto"

    It could be that I've misheard it slightly.
    Context:

    Agora, é a vez do Paraguai, e o tempo para se preparar para o duelo das
    quartas de final começa a ficar curto.

    To put in a phrase more like what a regular English speaker would use, "Time…is getting short" meaning "time is running out".
