That sweet moment when you sneaked into kitchen to steal that cookie which you are forbidden to eat and suddenly your mother comes from behind/ pops behind.

Which phrase is correct in this context ?

P.S- Please correct grammatical mistakes if any in my post.

Of the two, "comes from behind," but I doubt that we would say it that way. Here are two thoughts:

That sweet moment when you sneaked into the kitchen to steal that cookie you were forbidden to eat and your mother suddenly appears behind you.
That sweet moment when you sneaked into the kitchen to steal that cookie you were forbidden to eat and your mother suddenly comes up behind you.
