1) I remember seeing a sentence where 'but' is placed between two commas. Can you think of any example?

2) and if i place 'but' in the begining of the sentence, do I need a comma after?
example : "But, Daniel is not coming with us"

thanks.

  • 1) "I was having trouble coming up with an example, but, in the spirit of perseverance, I eventually thought of one."

    2) I wouldn't use a comma after the "but" in that example.
