comma after introductory phrase [preposition]: Until 2015, the price

Shall I use a comma in the sentences below or not:

(a) Until 2015, the price of crude oil will need to increase to meet the drilling costs.

(b) Taking this into account, until 2015, the price of oil will need to increase to meet the drilling costs.

  • I agree. In a it is not necessary and in b potentially confusing - with two commas, it could mean either that in 2015 we no longer take it into account, or the price will need to increase until 2015.
