Should one put a comma before "ranging from" in the following sentence:

"I have written several texts in this area ranging from XXX to XXX"

I would not even put "ranging from" in that sentence :D unless the texts are part of 'a range'.

I have written several texts in this area, including XXX and YYY

If I understood better what the range of topics might be, it might be easier to decide whether to put a comma there or not.

As written, ranging from XXX to XXX, the quote reminds me of:
She runs the gamut of emotions from A to B.
Dorothy Parker, US author, humorist, poet, & wit (1893 - 1967)
    (speaking of Katharine Hepburn)

I can not see a requirement for a comma.
The sentence is quite clear in an unpunctuated state and the comma adds no clarity.
