Do I have to always add comma in front of conjunction? As far as I know, when you connect cluses by conjunctions( but and so..) I have to add comma. Right? But sometiems I see " no comma" Which one is the rule??? For example,

I run the business from hooome and send and receive books by post, so I don't need my own premises. ( Can I omit comma in front of so???)

John specializes in certain areas , so that you alwas have the book the serious collector is looking for. ( can i add comma in front of so that??)

  • Someone will (please) correct this if I'm wrong but if you can use the word "because" rearranging the sentence then no comma is needed.

I don't need my own premises because I run the business from home and send and receive books by post.:tick:No comma is needed in the original sentence.

You always have the book the serious collector is looking for because John specializes in certain areas. :cross: You would need a comma in the original sentence.
