comma before 'whether' [conjunction]: anxiety lingers whether or not
I am not sure if I have correctly punctuated the following sentence. Do I use a comma before whether?
Trait anxiety, however, is continuous anxiety which lingers whether or not a situation is particularly stressful.
Thank you so much for your help

I like the way you did it.
I wouldn't put a comma there.
