common bladderwort

Senior Member
In a science book;
Certain species‌ of insectivorous plants‌ can actively‌‌ hold their prey‌ until digestion‌ is completed. The Venus flytrap and common bladderwort are examples‌ of such plants‌.
I am not sure what "common" here maybe, I do not whether it is شائع or عادي?
Any help appreciated.

    It means the most common variety of that plant. عادي might work.
    Couldn't be that common is a part of its name and it's called "common bladderwort" because it is the most common type of the family "bladderwort family" ?
    What do you think ?

    Yes, it is part of the botanical name which is Utricularia vulgaris. I can't vouch for the accuracy of this source,* but it seems that it could be called الفقاع الشائع in Arabic.
