Hello,

I have trouble understanding the bold part of this extract from a text on diversity at work. Can you help me ?

One company that has gone to great lengths to create a culture of diversity and inclusion is ***.
Among the tactics the company employs is bias and assumption training for all managers, and employee resource groups for underrepresented communities.
*** also aligns employee gatherings with company values, tying happy hours to Black History Month or Women’s Day to add purpose.

Thank you

Many companies try to have values that they set forth as things to aspire to: honesty, community, a green business model, etc. Whatever this company's values may be, it takes measures to ensure they are reflected in employee gatherings, office parties, retreats, etc. Rather than just having all their employees get together to drink (at a happy hour), they theme the get-togethers about Black History or Women's History so that the event becomes a celebration of diverse groups.

More interesting is the title of the article those quotes are from. Does, not Did? Not a usage one often comes across!
