    In a business context they're often quite similar and interchangeable, but "enterprise" tends to be applied to new firms, and to share some of the meaning of "project."

    What company do you work for?
    This week we're announcing XX, a new enterprise devoted to selling electronic badgers.

    Both words have other meanings, of course.
