Complement that was missing

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to translate into Spanish a fashion review and I'm stuck with the expression: "They described the fragance as 'the complement that was missing'"

"El complemento/accesorio que faltaba" doesn't sound good enough to me. I need to find something that enhance a new fragance.

Any suggestions, please?

    Me preocupa que pueda interpretarse como si anteriormente le "faltara distinción" a la marca, pero me quedo con tu opción porque estoy bloqueada y ya no puedo más. ;)
