Hey everybody,

I want to know the meaning of "concession" in the following context.

Does it mean "privilege"? I'm confused!

"The designer offered the concession that all initial design samples would be produced at cost in order to secure our agreement for the project."

Thanks in advance :)

It comes from the verb "to concede," which means "to allow, to permit or to give up." The phrase "The designer offered the concession..." means the the designer agreed to "give away" the samples without earning a profit.
