Conjugations that aren't time or actor/focus related

I have been trying to learn Filipino for a week or so and I am starting to get confused. As this is not the first language I have started to learn, I know that the quickest way to learn is to learn some high frequency verbs. I have found article after article of commonly used verbs, but whenever they go to conjugate them, it's only for various tenses. So are Filipino verbs similar to english, in which they stay more or less the same no matter who is doing them, or are the various apps I'm using all leaving something out?
