Hello Everyone,

"Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative," the British humorist Oscar Wilde once wrote.

I would like to know the meaning the humorist's remark and what is the background under the remark?

Regards

It means that if you are unimaginative, not creative, you will find comfort in things being the same all the time (being consistent).
