Can anyone help with the translation of "consorzio territorialmente competente"?

    Can you give us a little more context, since "competente" can be translated in 2-3 different ways in English. Is it meant as an adjective or the past participle of "competere?"

    In the absence of additional information, here are three tentative translations:

    Consortium with expertise in the territory.
    A qualified consortium in the territory.
    Territorially capable consortium.

    And here is one, if "competenza" actual refers to jurisdiction:

    Consortium with territorial jurisdiction/responsibility.
