How would you translate "consumer brand"; a large company wanted to expand and buy other company and were looking for well-advertised consumer brands. In Italian it would be..."marchi a grande diffusione"? Non saprei.

The idea of "consumer brands" would be a "marche" in which the primary customer is the consumer.
It would not include anything like machinery or chemicals that would be sold to businesses.

Yes i got that, it is not B2B, they just wanted to incorporate firms that sold products to customers. Maybe marche per il mercato al dettaglio. Not sure still.
