Hi,

- Michael's listening to music =(Michael is listening to music)

I would like to ask whether we can use a contracted form for names.

Thanks.

I would say that many people might use it in informal writing. However, in formal writing it would not be considered 'correct'.

You can do that in speech and informal writing.
You wouldn't normally use a contracted form when the name ends in "s": Marcus is listening to music. (Although we can write the genitive "Marcus's book".)
