- Does your mother or your father cook the meals everyday?
-?

I am not sure how to answer the question properly. What I feel confused is whether the person ask this question want to know WHO cooks or COOKS EVERYDAY ?
My answers were:
1.My mother does.
2.Yes, everyday.

If I only want to know WHO cooks, how to cast the sentence?
Thanks

You're right, your question is ambiguous. Instead you can ask:

(In your family,) who cooks the meals every day, your mother or your father?

Thanks, icecreamsoldier. If my answer is : No, they don't. Does it make sense or is a clear answer?( Both of them don't cook, let along everyday cooking)

You're welcome. No, you would reply: Neither of them.
If in fact they never cook (can't or won't): Neither of them cooks.
