cooking in the garden

I would probably call it a stew pot. Is it actually in someone's yard? I might say something about "open air" cooking, but I'm not sure exactly what type of activity you're thinking of. Can you give more context?

Yes, actually it can occur in your garden, but mostly when I go fishing I set up those stands of the pot, light the fire, chop up the meat and the potato and all the ingredients and cook something delicious while I wait for a fish to get the bait. :)

I would probably call the entire activity a "cookout", especially if there were other people there with you. I think the term is fairly American. I don't know if everyone uses it.
