cordon linéaire

"c’est le cas de la Costa Blanca espagnole, qui est la section de côte la plus urbanisée en Espagne avec près de 96 % de son cordon linéaire bétonné."

I see from WR that 'cordon littoral' means 'sandspit', and I've been using 'coast' or 'coastline' to translate 'littoral', which appears frequently in this document.
Can any one help with 'cordon linéaire', please?

TIA

    sandspit, not sandpit!:D

I agree with coastline, it's just that it's about the 5th French term in this doc with the same meaning!

Maybe there's something happening between me posting and you reading, but I've spelt it s-a-n-d-s-p-i-t both times!:)

Definition: a point of sandy deposit built up into a landform which projects into a body of water; also written sand spit
