Dear all,

would it be possible to say in English to correspond to all the (Orthodox) canons ? If not exactly, then what would be a better alternative?

Thank you in advance,
Igor.

Can you give a full sentence or more context? I have a feeling perhaps conform might be a better word, but I can't say for sure based on the context you've given.
It is a sentence in Russian. My translation would be something like: "His [an architect's] design [of a monastery] did not correspond to all the Orthodox canons."

    Thanks a lot,
    Igor.

Well, it depends on exactly what you want to say. Conform with/to would be a bit stronger i.e. his design did not obey the Orthodox rules for building monasteries. Correspond to is a bit milder i.e. his design did not fully match the usual Orthodox monastery-building standards. The sense that the architect has erred or failed in some way is stronger if you use 'conform'.
