Hi all,


how to translate to Italian the term “costs-projected bid”? The context is: “Like its network projects, the automated monitoring system was reputedly constructed for a fraction of the cost-projected bids received from international companies.”

Is the translation (una frazione delle) “offerte tagliate sui costi” all right?

Secondo me
"... for a fraction of the cost-projected bids [received] from ..."
vuol dire
"... for a fraction of the costs projected/estimated in the bids [received] from ..."
"... una minima/piccola parte/frazione delle spese stimate nelle offerte ricevute dalle societa' internazionale."

oppure
"... for a fraction of the projected/estimated costs on which were based the bids received from ..."
"... una minima/piccola parte/frazione delle spese stimate su cui erano basate le offerte ricevute dalle societa' internazionale."

Non sono sicuro quale sarebbe il modo migliore di esprimerlo in inglese - dipenderebbe dalla natura delle offerte (time & materials, cost +, fixed price ecc).

In questo contesto, l'uso di "fraction" non e' 'neutro', bensi' vuol indicare che questi proggeti sono stati compiuti a un costo sensibilmente meno di costi propost dagli offerenti internazionali.
