in a news about dinosaurs in Peru, when describing a pterosaurus they say "de enorme pico, una cresta tirada hacia atrás casi del mismo tamaño que su cuerpo"
how could I translate that???

A couple of other options for you, to add to Sprach's suggestion:

...a crest that sloped backwards almost the length of its body.
...a crest that was swept back, almost as long as its body.
