Criticisms that the program has abandoned its intended purpose of safeguarding the unemployed have been mounting.

I am using the plural "Criticisms" but pointing out just one general main problem "the program has abandoned its intended purpose of safeguarding the unemployed". The program has done so in many ways (cutbacks in benefit amounts, reduced benefit duration, increased eligibility requirements, etc.).

Is my sentence correct?
