Hello, how do you say "crock-pot" or "slow cooker" in Italian? Thanks!

Crock pot seems to be left untranslated on a number of Italian-language web-sites.

Hm. I'm afraid neither crock pot nor slow cooker are common Italian terms. In fact I googled some images and I have never seen that kind of appliance in Italy. Other users with greater cooking experience might contradict me, but I think a short explanation is needed in order for the general Italian audience to understand.

There was a thread about this sort of thing a couple of days ago. Someone asked about a fireless cooker, but we got onto the subject of crockpots and slow cookers (and you're right, no translation exists because you can't buy them in Italy!).;)

Slow cooker = pentola a cottura lenta.

    Thanks Lorena1970,

    A bit of trivia.

Way back in the early '80's ( I think), "crock pot" parties were all the rage Down Under.:)

Non esiste un termine unico, perchè è un elettrodomestico non molto utilizzato: io direi Pentola a cottura lenta...
