custom script

¡Hola!
El documento es un manual de usuario para un software de operación bancaria. El párrafo dice:
Validation for number of days in month is done through custom script calMapRecValidate.scr

Mi pregunta es: ¿Existe un término "oficial" en lenguaje de programadores, para traducir "custom script"? ¿Será "Guión de cliente", "Guión acostumbrado"? Gracias anticipadas.

  • I don't understand why they are calling the script "custom". A script would be custom if you had to modify it (customize it) to your requirements before using it. In this case, the script seems very straight-forward, validating the number of days in a month.

If the script were poorly written, and not contain logic for determining a leap year, then you conceivably would have to modify the script on every leap year to set February to 29 days.

Another possible reason for calling it "custom" is that perhaps this script does not come as part of the original banking software package, and is added to the package externally.

    Saludos.

This looks like a good reason. Thank you, zumac.
