Cutting the rope

New Member

I just want to know, could you say in english, "I think about cutting the rope...", it' s to express a frustration, an idea of give up on a hard situation that you can't handle anymore, because it's to hard.

If you have other idea, it'll hepl me a lot. I would like express myself in a good english, kind of embelished or by using a picture.

    I like your suggestion, apple123.

Another one that crosses my mind: I'm thinking of packing it in.

I'm sorry to say that English has no "cutting the rope" metaphor for a situation such as you describe, Eleonoroos.
