cycle, cycling on and off the medication

    Hello! The context of "cycling" on and off the medication refers to increasing and decreasing the dose (in this case). More context would be that it's talking about a compound which bypasses a receptor to directly activate a chemical in the body, which in turn... (the time of the verbs is off, sorry)

    "...potentially obviating the need for “cycling” on and off of the product every few weeks."
    My intent is:
    "...potencialmente evitando la necesidad de “oscilar” la manera de tomar el producto cada tantas semanas."
    I think this sounds terrible! Help...

    Hola, genine.
    En vez de ""oscilar" la manera de tomar el producto", creo que el sentido es "pudiendo evitar así la necesidad de aumentar y disminuir la dosis del producto a intervalos de pocas semanas" (al menos en España se diría así).
