Hello!
Is it correst to say when you arrive somewhere late "sorry for my being late" or is it better to say "sorry for being late"?
Thank you

Generally we just say, "I'm sorry I'm late." "I'm sorry for being late" is possible too... but "I'm sorry for my being late" is a bit heavy/unnatural.

Could you tell me which one of these two sentences is correct ,

Sorry For being late or Sorry TO be late ? I prefer the first one but I have no explanations.

    Thanks in advance
