What are dailies in movies? ¿Avances de las escenas?

The dailies are all the takes that were shot the previous day without any cutting or editing; in other words, exactly as they were shot. They're called dailies because the director, cameraman, director of photography and producer usually screen them on a daily basis to see if any reshoots are needed, if any coverage is missing, etc. No se cual es la traducción de este término, pero "avance de las escenas," no me suena, ya que son todas las tomas del día anterior.
