Salam
I was in a German class. All my class-fellows were Afghans. One day, after some work, a class-fellow said "ببخشید" (sorry). I wanted to ask what is the reply to sorry in Afghan Persian. My father said that you should have replied "خواهش می‌کنم", but in my opinion its خواهش می‌کنم is just reply to Thank you.

    Hi,
Depending on the context "ببخشید" might mean "sorry" or mean "excuse me" to raise a request (in this case "ببخشید" is followed by a request).
The answer to the first case could be "خواهش میکنم" or "اشکالی نداره" or "مسئله ای نیست".
And the answer to the second case, is the answer to the request.

Is it "خواهش می‌کنم" in Afghan Persian? Because it seems that "اشکالی نداره" and "مسئله‌ای نیست" are used in Iranian Persian

I have met many Afghans in Iran. Some speak Persian in the way that Iranians do but with a slightly different accent and some speak Persian with in a way that I hardly understand them (intelligibility is low to me). I can not tell a general rule which expression they use or they do not. Anyway I reckon that Afghans understand Iranian Persian perfectly.

In Persian Farsi, It is depending when you say ببخشید ... we are walking you hit my leg and you say ببخشید in reply I answer خواهش می کنم .... in another scenario you lost and looking for an address and asking me and say ببخشید reply to this yes please بله بفرمایید so there are many replies to it relating to when and why anybody use it!!!!
