Dari/Persian: The dogs bark. The caravan continues onward.

From what I understand, this is a saying that is used in both Arabia and, my interest, Afghanistan/Iran.

If I am correct, would someone be so kind as to transliterate this from the Dari/Farsi script into the Roman (English language) script?

Kheylee mamnoonam.

  • The Persian equivalent is سگ لاید و کاروان گذرد (sag lāyad o kārvān gozarad). However, I'm not sure if people (at least in Iran) use it nowadays (I didn't even know lāyad meant "barks").
