Hello,
In Iranian Persian, when the suffix ezāfe is added to a word that ends in a vowel, it is pronounced ye. I'd like to ask whether the y sound is omitted in the same context in Dari or not. I've seen that قلعه نو (the name of a city in Afghanistan) is often romanised as Qala-e Naw or Qala-i Naw, and not Qala-ye Naw, for example.
Thank you in advance.
