I'd like to know what my name is in Japanese I tried a translator page and it says shite which when I translate back on other sites makes no sense

I also got DEIVIDDO which sounds like a some one rying a bad japanese accent

and I'd like spaceman too

I'm going to use the translatd version if it sounds ok as my user name on a karate web site

    You can't translate Dave/David into Japanese semantically, but you can write it phonetically in katakana,

    Dave---> デーブ(or デイヴ) like this: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%87%E3%83%BC%E3%83%96%E3%83%BB%E3%82%B9%E3%83%9A%E3%82%AF%E3%82%BF%E3%83%BC
    David---> デヴィッド(or デイヴィッド) like this: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/デヴィッド・ボウイ
    or
    ダビデ(the way written in the Bible) http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/ダビデ

    spaceman(スペースマン) has a meaning, that is 宇宙飛行士(astronaut)、宇宙人(alien).

    How about 宇宙の使者デーブ? It sounds better. 宇宙の使者 means space envoy.
