Qué significa 'de la mano a la boca se pierde la sopa'?
I don't know, but it reminds me of "There's many a slip 'twixt cup and lip".
Ha! I found it one of my books, but with slightly different wording:
Del plato a la boca se pierde la sopa. = There's many a slip 'twixt cup and lip.
