Declension of prawo jazdy

Hi,

I took a look at the declension of prawo jazdy to see if I found some of the eccentricities that Polish has in store for naïve learners like myself. Of course I was expecting that both words would be declined, as is the case of karta kredytowa or dowód osobisty,in which the first word is declined as a noun and the second as the adjective determining it. However, much to my surprise I found that jazdy is not declined in the prawo jazdy combination (or at least, that is what the Polish Wiktionary says...) Why is that? What makes jazdy undeclinable? What group does this word belong to? Maybe an infinitive ? I would be very much surprised that it was classified as an adjective, due to its absolute lack of declined forms.

Literaly translations:

a noun + an adjective
- karta kretytowa - a credit card
- dowód osobisty - a personal proof
- licencja jeździecka - a driving licence (for horses)

a noun + a noun in the genitive case
- prawo jazdy - licence of driving (for cars, motorcycles)

The case of "jazdy" must be always the same because it describes it's relation to the "prawo".
It's like "Alfa Centauri".

some simpler examples would be: “tata Marcina” Or „prognoza pogody”

The word itself is jazda. It is then put in the genitive (prawo jazdy - the right of driving) and this is how it stays.

Thank you all for the answers... Genitive, well, it was a logical thing to think (in Spanish it would also be some kind of genitive: licencia de conducir/conducción).
