deep/dark/pure silence

Hi
Which one/ones is/are right please?

1. The city was in deep silence
2. The city was dark silent
3. The city was in pure silence

    We don't do proof-reading - which includes answering a question that asks "which one is right?". If you would like to explain where these sentences came from and why you have a problem with any of them we might be able to provide some answers.

    The only one of those that works as a normal English expression is deep silence. Pure silence is possible, but I do not think it is common.
