deep offshore

Senior Member
Hi everyone,

I am proofreading the internal magazine of an oil & gas company and I would like to make sure "deep offshore" should no be hyphenated (the text is not consistent in that regard).

The way I see it, "deep" and "offshore" are both adjectives and therefore should not be hyphenated. Eg.: "we acquired a 20% direct interest in this deep offshore gas block", contrary to a noum used as an adjective as in "a 3-day journey".

Can anyone confirm this or correct me if I am wrong?

Thank you for your help.

Thank you, london calling. The validators completely ignored my comment on that, so... I guess grammar is not a big enough argument for them.
    Thanks anyway!
