    How do I say this in a really nice (formal) way -

    I would like to delay the class time by half an hour to be able to do my exercises (physical) before the class.

    J'aimerais repousser d'une demi heure l'heure (ou les horaires?) du cours afin d'assister à ma séance d'entrainement (ou faire des exercices physiques?) du matin qui a lieu avant la classe.

    Or, I think it would be more appropriate in the case it's someone else who has to the delay the course for your convenience:

    J'aimerais que le cours soit repoussé d'une demi-heure (...)

    Yes, entraînement should be written with an î though.
    Although I think the form you chose might be acceptable nowadays.

    And, entraînement has the idea of workout/routine. It looks fine in this context though.
    You could also use "séance de sport"
