Hello,

I'm reading an album review but i don't understand one sentence :

Surprisingly VP delivers a toaster, with its Strictly The Best 38. A sensitive selection of 2007’s best lovers rock reggae singles.

I don't understand the sense of 'toaster' here. Could you help me please?:)

Not sure but probably a typo for "taster" ? This fits with the "selection" bit.

    Hi Maral.A,

If this is a compilation of older songs, then maybe the reference to 'toaster' means that they are warming up some old tunes to make them fresher.

I believe "taster" is usually translated as "un avant-goût". This fits the context if we assume there is a spelling mistake, doesn't it?

    Ok thank you.

FAC13,Yes it may be a spelling mistake and in that case taster is ok.

Floise, it's not about old songs but 2007 tracks.

Yes, but this album doesn't feature deejay tracks but ' A sensitive selection of 2007’s best lovers rock reggae singles'.
