Bonsoir !
I was wondering if there would be any differences between the following phrases :
- "depend on"
and
- "depend upon".

I've right now no particular examples to provide you.
Any help gratefully appreciated :)

In AE, "depend on" is much more common than "depend upon."

    You can depend on me.
They depended on their father for support.

You'll need to wait for a BE speaker to see if the answer is the same for BE.

In CaE as well "depend on" is far more common, though I can't speak for BrE.

    Cheers!
