Hi everyone!
I'm trying to complete this sentence:

But don't despair. Hollywood is fascinated by the apocalyse, but it loves superheroes too. In Batman and Spiderman, heroes find solutions to all kinds of problems, including saving the world.
Maybe we don't have to feel quite so ................. about the future after all!

I need a word with the root DEPRESS

I don't think depressive works here. It makes me think of a psychiatric term. What about the word "depressed" ?

I appreciate your help :)

"Depressive" can also describe a person with a tendency to be depressed, although not necessarily depressed at the moment. "Depressed" is the actual state of depression. Here, "depressed" is correct.
